Terms of Use for TUB-DMP

General information

TUB-DMP is the data management plan tool of the Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin). It is operated by the University Library of the Technische Universität Berlin on the basis of the open source software RDMO. The technical infrastructure is hosted by the Zentraleinrichtung Campusmanagement (ZECM). The affected servers and data are backed up decentralized on a daily basis.

TUB-DMP is a web tool that researchers can use to collaboratively create and maintain data management plans. For this purpose, TUB-DMP contains various question catalogs on aspects of research data management, from which users can select the one that best suits their purposes. When answering the questions, users can access extensive help texts and answer options. Once they have completed their answers, users can export their data management plan in various formats.

Your account

  1. The use of TUB-DMP is free of charge. It only requires the creation of an account. Depending on the identity provider used, this is done either on the basis of your account data at TU Berlin or on the basis of your ORCID profile data. For information and notes on the collection and processing of personal data in TUB-DMP please refer to our Data Privacy Statement.
  2. You can change your name and email address at any time. You can also contact us at any time at the contact address to have your TUB-DMP account deleted.
  3. If you use TUB-DMP, you are responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of your account, password and for restricting access to your computer and mobile devices.
  4. You may not use TUB-DMP in any way that is likely to interrupt or otherwise impair the services or access to TUB-DMP. Furthermore, you may not use the services of TUB-DMP for unlawful activities. If you violate applicable law or our Terms of Use, we reserve the right to withhold the services on the website from you or to close member accounts.
  5. When you create data management plans in TUB-DMP, you contribute your own content to TUB-DMP. You enter personal data of third parties (e.g. first names and surnames of participating scientists) only with the consent with these persons in your data management plans. You also confirm that you do not violate the personal rights of a person involved by omitting a name.
